A statement by Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesman of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, says that the commission it is set to arraign the Deputy Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Mato Dogara, on Monday over an alleged N17 million scam.
The scam was allegedly perpetrated while Dogara was the chairman of Lere local government council.
Uwujaren said on Sunday that Dogara would be arraigned before a Federal High Court in Kaduna, alongside two other suspects, Kabiru Malali, another former chairman of Lere local government council and Ahmed Yahaya, former Treasurer of the council.
The suspects would be arraigned on a six-count charge, including contract over-invoicing and criminal diversion of funds.
Apart from being a former council chairman, the deputy speaker was also a former commissioner in the state.
