The trial of Mamman Ali, the son of former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmadu Ali, continued today at a Lagos High Court.
At the court’s resumed sitting today, the trial judge ordered the freezing of assets of Nasaman Oil Services, a company belonging to the defendant, which was implicated in the fuel subsidy fraud. Nasaman Oil Services allegedly defrauded the government of N4.5 billion.
Also, the assets of Seun Ogunbambo, who is arraigned alongside Mamman Ali were also ordered to be seized.
From the Nasaman Oil Services end, Ali is not the only one facing prosecution, as a co-director in the company, Christian Taylor, is also being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the charges.
