Following series of meetings between the Ekiti state governor, student union leaders, Parents’ Forum and university authorities of the Ekiti State University (EKSU), the governor of the state, Kayode Fayemi, has acceded to the pleas by the students that they should have the option of paying their fees in instalments.
He therefore advised the school authorities to make it work.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Olayinka Oyebode, the format to be adopted for payment would be worked out by the authorities of the institution and communicated to the students.
The governor asked students to reciprocate the gesture by complying with the arrangement that would be put in place by the university authorities.
