Following a peaceful protest held by students of the University of Lagos, the university authorities have demanded that all shops within the school premises be shut until further notice.
The students’ protest was in response to what they described as the high prices of goods and services in the institution which has increased the cost of living in the university.
The decision to close down all shops was communicated to the students via a text message from the Director of Students Affairs.
The message informed students that the shops will remain closed until the issues raised against the owners by students are resolved.
