Brazil is in the throes of instability following a massive protest over what citizens consider to be the failure of the government to provide some basic necessities. What began as a small challenge against increase in bus prices has now snowballed into a massive movement.
We stumbled on this photo of protesters gradually pushing back policemen into the sea.
Take a proper look at the picture. See the large crowd, the few policemen, and the obvious threat to the lives of the officers. The fear alone of such a mob bearing down on them is chilling, then there is the threat of drowning or a stampede. Yet the officers did not fire live ammunition.
Now imagine if that was Nigeria…
