It’s now becoming boring. It appears that the Rivers governor, Rotimi Amaechi and his Plateau counterpart, Jonah Jang, now blast each other in turns on a daily basis.
At a symposium on constitution review which was organised in Abuja by the Rule of Law Development Foundation, the Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, spoke once again abouth the disputed NGF election which returned him as chairman for a second term.
He criticised his rival, Gov. Jonah Jang of Plateau and those who support him, describing them as undemocratic.
“Everybody voted including Jang. Jang was among the first person to vote. And when I won, they were there when I won. So anyone, including any member of the NBA who supports Jang is undemocratic, ” Amaechi said.
He stated that what the Plateau state governor is leading is “a faction of the PDP governor’s forum”.
Charging the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Gov. Amaechi said that the organisation cannot afford to lose its voice. He also called on Nigerians to be “prepared as a people to defend our rights, hold government accountable and demand accountability”.
