In Kano on Wednesday, the Joint Task Force arrested a suspected member of the Boko Haram sect at the residence of Mohammed Abacha, the son of late former Head of State, Sani Abacha.
The Punch is reporting that although the JTF has not yet released the name of the suspect, he is a domestic aide of Abacha, and he was arrested at the Government Reserved Area residence of Abacha in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano state.
The suspect was allegedly given away by another suspected member of the sect who was earlier arrested in Borno State. It was that other suspect who led the team of security operatives to the residence.
According to reports, when the security operatives got to Mohammed’s residence, the residents were observing prayers, so they waited for them to finish their prayers, then they asked all of them to lie down while the suspect who was in handcuffs was brought in to identify the suspected Boko Haram member, who was a domestic aide.
The domestic aide allegedly attempted to escape by jumping over the fence while the identification process was ongoing. However he was nabbed by the security operatives.
