In a bid to be more apprised of happenings in the Nigerian aviation sector, the Nigerian Senate has summoned the minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah to brief it on Thursday.
Over the past one year, there have been several air disasters which have claimed lots of lives as well as other near-death experience which prompted investigations into the Aviation industry. In what appears to be a proactive measure to prevent future occurrences, the minister of Aviation and other top officials of the Aviation sector would be questioned on how they have performed in their departments.
However, what would be foremost on the minds of Nigerians when the minister and other top officials are admitted into the senate chamber by 11am today would be whether the N255 million car scandal involving the minister of Aviation and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority(NCAA) would be on the agenda for today’s meeting. Since the scandal was exposed, numerous calls have been made for the sack of the minister whom many described as being unfit to run the aviation sector.
