Kidnappers abduct one of Sokoto’s richest men

Abuh Kure, a contractor believed to be one of the richest men in Sokoto state was kidnapped on Wednesday.

The police, while confirming the kidnap of the multi-millionaire said that his Toyota Camry has been recovered intact at a farmland near Durbawa village in Kware local government area of the state. According to the police, the car has “Sarkin Fadan Sarkin Musulmi – Alhaji Abu Kure as its registration number.”

The Spokesman of the police command in the state, DSP Al-Mustapha Sani, said yesterday that Kure was kidnapped at the Kupper area of the Sokoto by “gun-wielding hoodlums.”

Sani said that no arrest has been made  but assured Nigerians that investigation was ongoing to nab the kidnappers.

Kure who is over 60 years is believed to be close to the Sokoto government and has been awarded several contracts.
