Leaders and members of various factions of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State today came together to settle their differences as Nigerians count down to the 2015 elections.
At a meeting held on Monday at the Sagamu residence of the former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the factions reechoed their commitment to sheathe their swords and forge ahead for the progress of the party.
The leaders, including former Minister for Commerce, Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye; Senators Ayodeji Otegbola, Lekan Mustapha; Apostle Dave Salak, among numerous others.
Addressing the press after the meeting Gbenga Daniel said that the meeting was aimed at “re-positioning the party to take charge of the mission to save the state from the current maladministration and the reelection of President Goodluck Jonathan.”
A notable absentee at the meeting were former speaker of the House of Reps, Dimeji Bankole and PDP financier, Buruji Kashamu.
