SInce Ayo Fayose became governor of Ekiti state, succeeding Kayode Fayemi, it’s been one fight after another. Fayose has spent a chunk of his time as governor, “exposing” his predecessor and trying to weaken the APC, the party of which Fayemi is a member.
On Saturday however was the 60th birthday event of another former Ekiti governor, Segun Oni, who is now a national vice chairman of the APC. Both Fayose and Fayemi, as well as the immediate past first lady (also pictured) attended.
The two men were all smiles, at least in this photo. Anyone hoping that this would mark the beginning of a more cordial relationship between the two men might be taking hope a bit too far though.
