In Lagos on Saturday morning, Lagosians who support the All Progressives Congress (APC) turned out in their numbers to march in support of the party, and especially its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, who returned to Nigeria on Friday.
The event was tagged “One-million-man march for Buhari.” But Buhari himself was not present.
Of course, as is usual, his absence has prompted opponents of the APC to argue that it goes further to show that the general is unfit, not minding the fact that no candidate anywhere attends every single event organised in his honour.
The event had a massive turnout, but who comes up with these tags. “One-million-man march” for instance – how did they arrive at that figure. Clearly from the photos below, the number is no where near 1 million, but the figure is being thrown around.
