93 people. That’s how many Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor-elect of Kano, has included in his transition committee.
He says the committee will ensure the smooth take-off of his administration which will be sworn in on May 29.
The committee is to be led by Prof. Hafizu Abubakar, who is the deputy-governor elect.
Ganduje urged the members to work hard and ensure that the incoming administration succeeds from the beginning.
The 93-member committee is divided into 8 sub-committees and they are expected to devise a policy frame work for the incoming government as well as make recommendations.
Chairman of the committee, Abubakar, thanked Ganduje for the opportunity to serve and pledged to deliver within the stipulated three weeks time frame.
