Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, on Thursday, disclosed that the states of Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Niger have resolved to end the Boko Haram insurgency.
Yari, who spoke in a statewide television broadcast to commemorate the Eid-El-Fitr celebration said he and his colleagues, alongside Service Chiefs, have come up with a workable plan that would crush Boko Haram.
The current Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, may have referrred to the outgone Service Chiefs.
The governor lamented that many states, especially in the north, were finding it difficult to govern because of Boko Haram.
Assuring the people of the state that things would get better, Yari appealed to them to bear with the little the administration had been able to provide for them during the Ramadan fast.
Yari said this was caused by financial difficulties facing the nation.
He called on those financially buoyant to continue to support the poor and urged parents to ensure they teach their children to be of good conduct at all times.
