Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Lagos.
Mr Salawe Daramola, a chieftain in Ward B of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, was killed last Thursday evening at about 5.30 p.m. The assailants forced their way into his residence at FESTAC Town Lagos where he was shot three times at close range. The shooters made their escape on a motorcycle.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kenneth Nwosu, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday. The suspects had been apprehended in different parts of Lagos based on a tip-off.
DSP Nwosu further revealed that the suspects were interrogated by the Area E Commander, ACP, Frank Mba, to establish each suspects degree of involvement before they were indicted.
The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.
