On Tuesday, President Muhammadu Buhari hosted one of his predecessors, Olusegun Obasanjo, once again at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Obasanjo has visited President Buhari three times since May 29. The first visit was on August 8 and next on September 8.
When Obasanjo was president of the country, the two men did not get along very well. Buhari lost to Obasanjo in the 2003 presidential elections and lost again to President Umaru Yaradua who was endorsed by Obasanjo four years later. Those two elections were marred by irregularities and Buhari blamed Obasanjo for that.
The relationship between both men have however become more cordial in recent times ever since Obasanjo endorsed Buhari in the buildup to the March 2015 polls.
Tuesday’s meeting was a closed door one and the details are currently unknown.
