In a renewed bid to reposition the party before the 2019 general elections, the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has begun moves to reach out to its founding fathers and other aggrieved members, including ex-military President, Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida, former Vice Presidents Dr. Alex Ekwueme and Atiku Abubakar, reports Vanguard.
The party said it is ready to beg them for forgiveness as part of moves to reposition the party.
Rising from its meeting yesterday in Abuja, the party’s Board of Trustees, BoT said it would go round the country to pacify aggrieved party members.
The board also resolved to fix a larger meeting on January 14, 2016 to elect a substantive BoT chairman.
Former minister of Defence, Haliru Bello presently occupies the office in an acting capacity.
