When contacted, the Kogi Police Commissioner, Besan Gwana said he directed his men to secure the assembly complex following intelligence reports that some hoodlums were planning to wreck havoc in the place.

“We got information that some people are coming there to vandalise things at the assembly. That was why we sent our men there to secure the place. It is for security reason”, he said.

Our corespondent reports that the assembly had been embroiled in leadership crisis following the Tuesday’s purported impeachment of the assembly Speaker, Momoh Jimoh Lawal by five out of the present 20-member assembly.
