The FG’s fancy Strategic Implementation Plan for the 2016 budget broken down

Budget signed. Next step: Implementation.

The federal government has this fancy plan on paper on a Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) for the 2016 budget. It comprises of interventions and initiatives which the federal government is expected to complete or at least put into motion in 2016. The SIP was put together by the Economic Management Team which is headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the ministry of budget and national planning led by Senator Udoma Udo Udoma.

The plan is important for the fact that it enumerates tangible things for which the administration will be held responsible. Unlike campaign promises made in the buildup to the last polls which were easily denied, the SIP announced by the administration has the government on the record and Nigerians can easily hold them to account at the end of the fiscal year.

Below are a series of tweets from the official handle of the administration, @AsoRock, which enumerates the key points of the Strategic Implementation Plan.
