Police seal Kwankwaso’s house in Kano

A Kano house belonging to a former governor of the state, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, was sealed on Tuesday by armed policemen in order to stop Kwankwaso’s supporters from conducting a mass wedding which was banned by the police.

The house, situated on Lugard Road, is a few minutes’ drive from Kano Government House, and serves as the headquarters of Kwankwasiyya Movement.

“We have directed our men to seal the residence because of an intelligence report that there is a plan to conduct mass wedding at the house,” said the state Police commissioner, Rabiu Yusuf, in a statement issued by police spokesman, DSP Magaji Musa Majia.
