President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki at the presidential Villa, Abuja.
Saraki’s visit came a day after the Senate Leader, Ali Ndume also visited the president and thereafter recanted the senate’s rejection the nomination of Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC. He told State House Correspondents after a private meeting with President Buhari that the Senate never at a time rejected the nomination of Magu.
Details of Saraki’s meeting were not made available as it held behind closed-doors. But the air around the Villa was heavy with issues of Magu and SGF. It lasted for about 45 minutes. The Senate President later observed the 4p.m muslim prayer before leaving the Villa.
