The new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has been sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The swearing-in took place at the council chambers of the State House and was witnessed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, and council members.

Meanwhile, in his first public interaction after the announcement of his appointment, Mustapha said he will focus on harmonising all the diverse interests in the Presidency to achieve optimal performance.
“Nigeria is not in lack of information and policy formulation, sometimes, it’s the synergy of those policies for the purposes of attending the goal that has been lacking. Those are some of the things I’m going to bring to the office. There must be coordination and synergy so that we can have a thrust that can move us forward,” he said.
Mustapha, while addressing newsmen after meeting with President Buhari on Tuesday, said there is the need for “an emergency acceleration” to further drive Nigeria out of its present woes.
According to him, the President is focused on delivering dividends to the people by fighting corruption, insecurity and diversifying the economy and all his workers must be committed to the President’s vision.
