After detaining them briefly, the FCT police commissioner has released Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili and a few other members of the BBOG movement.
The arrest of the activists who have been consistently campaigning for the release of the Chibok girls came as a shock to many Nigerians, especially because no reason was given by the police for the arrest.
The police commissioner was unable to explain why the campaigners were arrested or why they were being released. He simply said, “because I am the FCT police commissioner and now release you to go.”
Without stating the reason for our ARREST & DETENTION, Commissioner of Police at the FCT Command of .@PoliceNG CP Bello has asked us to be LET OUT of their Station.
WE INSISTED ON A FORMAL CHARGE &RELEASE but his response?
“I am the Commissioner& NOW RELEASE you to go”

Wow! We have to fight for our Nation. Innocent citizens arrested while terrorists roam freely.
Abuja Commissioner of Police say we can go because he can. Really?
Why were we arrested in the first place? Because we demanded #BringBackOurGirls ? pic.twitter.com/hQKrIWUscg
