This comes barely a week after Olusegun Obasanjo endorsed the People’s Democratic Party (PDP’s) presidential candidate, Abubakar Atiku.
Olajuwon had earlier in September pledged his support for the re-election of Buhari, stating in a letter that, “I have taken a personal decision to release the statement and to notify you of my availability to work for the re-election of our dear President Muhammadu Buhari with sincerity and loyalty.”
Why It Does Not Matter
While the APC may flaunt this update as an achievement of some sort, Olajuwon quite unlike his father, is a political lightweight. Apart from the popularity of his surname, which is attributable to his father, it is unlikely that he has the ability to influence opinions no matter how much it is propped up by the Buhari campaign.
