Former Ekiti governor, Ayodele Fayose, has asked the immediate past governors of Ogun and Imo states, Ibikunle Amosun and Rochas Okorocha, to surrender themselves to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Backstory: Fayose, who turned himself in a day after he stepped down from his position as governor of Ekiti state in 2018, has now extended the invitation to Amosun and Okorocha without stating why he singled those two men out.
Fayose’s message to the former governors comes after rumors began circulating that Okorocha and his wife, Nkechi, had been arrested by the Commission.
These rumors have since been laid to rest.
Fayose tweeted the following:
Bottom Line: Misery, they say, loves company.
